Frequently asked questions
How do I set up the Flora Organic Dunlop Latex Mattress for first use?
Lay the mattress on a suitable foundation or adjustable base. Give it time to decompress after unpacking if it’s a rolled unit, and ensure the cotton cover with wool filling is fully in place for temperature regulation.
Who would benefit most from this mattress and who might prefer something lighter?
This mattress is ideal for sleepers who want customizable firmness with dual-sided adjustments and natural cooling. It may be less ideal for those who prefer a uniformly soft or very firm feel across the entire surface.
What materials is this mattress made of and what does that mean for daily use?
It uses four layers of certified organic Dunlop latex with a cotton cover and organic wool filling, plus a firm base and two customizable middle layers. The wool and cotton help regulate temperature, while the latex provides support and pressure relief.
Can this mattress be used with an adjustable bed base?
Yes, it is compatible with adjustable bases, and an optional hardwood slatted foundation is available for added support.
Is the Flora suitable for different sleepers at once, like couples with different firmness needs?
Yes, the queen and king sizes offer dual-firmness customization on each side, allowing each sleeper to tailor their firmness independently.
What care or maintenance does this mattress need to stay fresh?
Keep the mattress on a well-ventilated foundation and use the organic cotton cover with wool filling as designed. There is no mention of special cleaning requirements beyond normal care for latex and natural fibers.
